Me and frequent cohost (Thanks Jav!) JAVIER HERNANDEZ discuss the current and upcoming technology and how it influences our work and how we present it to our audience. We discuss using the Cintiq for comics so I'm posting an image of a page done in Photoshop cs2 using the Cintiq. I scanned in a thumbnail, but my rough, finish and graytone was done digitally. Sweet! I just took the plunge and ordered a Cintiq, so I'll be interested to hear what you've got to say about it.
Also that page looks great! Have you tried inking in Illustrator or just Photoshop? I'd like to try Illustrator because of the scalability & lack of pixelation of vectors. But I'm more familiar with Photoshop.
Thanks Robin! I just use Photoshop right now. I've used Illustrator also, and it's totally worth doing because of its vector base, but I've found the resolution I get from Photoshop (300dpi) is fine for my standards when I post it or get it printed.
